Job Description: UK Business Development Manager – Oil & Gas

An ambitious fast growing Oilfield service company is currently looking for a UK Business Development Manager – Oil & Gas Division

The role

To plan, organise and implement sales programs for the UK and to be responsible for achieving sales objectives in line with company expectations. Collation of financial information regarding all sales and supply chain activities. Timely (monthly) reporting on sales, forecasts, budgets and expenses.

Key Responsibilities

• Market and sell Electrical Cable and Accessory products and services. Develop relationships with new and existing customers and provide information to maximise sales volume. Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

• Evaluate quotations for all regional operations with UK Sales Team, and maintain relevant contact at enquiry stage as required, with Procurement and Engineering.

• In partnership with the UK Sales Manager: preparation and coordination of a (annual) sales and marketing plan for the region, including but not limited to target customers, exhibitions, conferences and workshops. Provide and report the necessary market intelligence for the UK, i.e. market potential, expected tenders, sales pipeline, competitor’s activities. Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding market intelligence of both Client’s and Competitors.

• Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.

• Develop and deliver Company presentations in line with Client requirements.

• Meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.

• Co-ordinate design requirements through engineering where required in order ensuring the correct feasibility of all quotations and attainment of customer requirements.

Experience

Essential: Demonstrate a proven strong sales track record, preferably in an Electrical commodity background

Show a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements, within the Operators ,EPC & OEM sectors.

Willing to travel throughout the UK, along with potential European visits as and when required.

Demonstrate proven Sales leadership skills and an ability to drive all external sales activity.

Demonstrate good communication skills, along with an ability to work in a team environment, as well as an ability to work unsupervised and exercise initiative to resolve potential problems.

Demonstrate a strong ability under pressure to meet client delivery expectations

Must demonstrate an ability to effectively utilise dedicated resources, and the ability to plan, control, and take responsibility for own work.

Must demonstrate competency in all IT application tools but especially powerpoint

Must be able to use the right information and/or systems and /or technology, and be able to identify and implement improvements as appropriate.

Preferred: Experience in Electrical Cable and Accessories with proven Sales & Marketing background with
good general experience of electrical engineering principles
